Great spot for everyone! Check the tides before you set off - the beach is often closed on an extra-big tide (9.5m or more).

How to go there

Coming from Formby on the A565, turn left atthe lights after Woodvale Airfield. When you get to the roundabout by Pontins, turn left. Drive onto the beach and turn left. Go to the end of the carpark and unless it's really flat-calm, the usual suspects will be there!

You will need BKSA insurance and the Council prefer you to have a permit (free) - check out their website for details www.sefton.gov.uk
