Kite Spot Gera Lario - Italy

Description

Gera Lario is a lake, mostly choppy 10 to 40cm. There's space to launch and land your kite from a small sandy beach that can be submerged in the spring. Wind in the afternoon heat until 25-30Kn. With wind from the north is recommended to head to the town of Mandello del Lario (LC).

Many windsurfers and beachgoers, be careful and ask locals for special rules. Not much space to go downwind too far. Therefore not a beginners beach.

How to go there

Gera Lario is right at the North of the Lake Como. The beach is at the westside of the river mouth. From the main street get onto Via Sole Mio. Parking lot almost directly at the beach with parking fees.
